Richard offers a friendly face and safe pair of hands, assisting and advising clients and easing stressful times. His sensitive, reassuring and gentle approach is underpinned by a great deal of experience both in his professional knowledge and his long career of enabling and helping others. His professional work is fully indemnified and confidentiality is a key aspect to all work undertaken.
He is a third generation freelance valuer based in Leicestershire and started his training and professional life with Warner Sheppard & Wade in 1983. From 1995 until 2003 he was the managing director of Warner Auctions Ltd in Leicester then subsequently worked for Tennants Auctioneers of Yorkshire as a regional valuer and consultant. Since 2008 he has worked within Leicestershire & Rutland for Golding Young & Mawer of Lincolnshire as a consultant and part of the country house sales team, cataloguing collections and auctioneering. Richard conducts independent valuation and house clearance work for private and professional clients. He is also a Regional Valuer for a leading firm of Insurance Valuation Providers and undertakes valuation and house clearance work for private and professional clients including solicitors and accountants. Richard is a member of the National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers (NAVA) and a former chairman of the Leicester Antiques Society. He sits on the committee as an advisor on furnishings and works of art to the Diocese of Leicester (DAC) and also advises Coventry and Southwell Dioceses. He has appeared on BBC’s 'Bargain Hunt' as auctioneer and BBC East Midlands Today, as well as Radio 1 and BBC Radio Leicester. |
